Leukemia is a kind of blood cancer that develops when leukocyte has uncontrollably increased and destroyed the function of blood.
Deaconess Hwasook Kang experienced the living God when her leukemia–victimized son, Sejin, was completely cured through the prayer of Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee, and then all her family registered at Manmin Joong-ang Church and are living happy lives now.

Dear Senior Pastor, Rev. Dr. Jaerock Lee,
I am Deaconess Hwasook Kang, Sejin's mother who always misses you from so far away here at the Chang-won Manmin Church. Everything I have done until this moment of this day in 2005 has been due to the grace of the Father and our Lord, and the prayer and love of my shepherd, you.
In May 2000, when my son Sejin was diagnosed with leukemia, nothing, not even money, could substitute for the pains all of us had suffered. My son had narrowly overcome a few crises of death and been in coma during a short hospital treatment. I had to wait for my son's death thinking everything was over.
At that time God had mercy on my wretched family. He sent my brother Deacon Chongkyu Kang to my son who stood on the edge of precipice of death. My brother preached the gospel and introduced to us your ministry. We came to have new hope for our future.
In May 2001, I put my son on my back and flew from Chang-won to Seoul to attend the 9th Two-week Special Revival Meeting. While listening to your message on the first day of the revival, I could not stop my tears. Next day when you prayed the "Prayer for the Sick" from the pulpit, something ablaze like burning fire was seen before me, and my body became hot and sweat ran down my back. At that time a strange thing happened to my son next to me and my mother-in-law. Yellow nasal discharge ran down from his nostrils. My mother-in-law, who was hundreds of kilometers (miles) away, had seen the same thing in her dream.
From then on, my son recovered a bright and reddish face and could eat and digest any kind of food. His urine turned clear and pure. He could play briskly and actively with his
cousin, Jinjoo, for quite a while without panting for breath, which had been impossible for him for a long time. I was so happy with that and gave thanks beyond words to God. I give thanks to the grace of God and you who healed my dying son by a prayer.
It has been five years since my son was healed of leukemia. In November 2001, I took my son to a hospital in Chang-won to have his blood examined. The result told us that my son was normal. At that time I wanted to have my son examined in the marrow of his bones by MRI pictures, but did not because of so many things that had to be taken care of at the time. And we did not have to go to hospital because my son was so healthy. About four years later GCN (Global Christian Network) and WCDN (World Christian Doctors Network) asked me to prepare the medical data of his healing, so I had my son receive close examinations including marrow examination at the hospital in January 2005.
Since my son was healed and saved from death, all my family have been thankful for the new life and they have been determined to give God anything He desires. My son has never forgotten that his life was given again by God, so when I told him that he would receive hard and complicated examinations, he assented readily and willingly. I was pleased with his mature attitude.
He took courage when he arrived at the hospital and received all kinds of examinations with joy. One time I became drowsy, he went for an examination by himself. He has done everything easily and the result of all examinations including the examination on leukocytes in
the marrow surprised all the doctors in charge of him: He was perfect. Everything was due to God's grace. Hallelujah!
My shepherd, senior pastor, I give thanks again. Most of the children who had been in hospital with Sejin died and only a few still survived. There was a boy who had been sent to the hospital after my son and diagnosed with the same disease, leukemia. The boy was suffering from the after-effects of the operation on his brain. For three years the boy could not move his arms and legs as he wanted. He had to sit in a wheelchair and lived a miserable life being fed with food through a tube because he had a problem in eating.

"I wish all those children in hospital would believe in God and could be healed! My son would have lived the same miserable life. Could he have survived and been with us?" All of my family feels God's love from the heart and gives thanks to God and Pastor Myoungsook Chun and her church members. My shepherd, I thank you for establishing a branch church in Chang-won.
Furthermore, our loving Father has poured many blessings on us. My husband was scheduled to retire from his company because of his company policy on reduction of workers, but he was able to escape layoff and rather he was promoted to deputy manager of his department from assistant manager.
My mother-in-law has evangelized many people and I have been faithful to my God-given duties. Sejin and his elder brother Sungjin read a chapter of the Bible and memorize a biblical verse every day. They do their best to pray. How thankful and happy I am to see them grow in the truth and faith!
It is reported that about 25 hundred thousand people have been stricken with leukemia every year. I want to tell them that their disease is a small thing before the power of God, and I hope this testimony will be light and hope for them.
I give thanks to God for His grace and love because He saved my son who was dying. He has blessed all of us. I give thanks to you for your earnest prayer.
