It happened in 2020. One day it looked like a thorn got stuck in the right middle toe and I looked into it closely. But nothing was found there. The pain got worse with the passing of time and later I couldn’t bear whenever my toes touched anything.
I had a great difficulty walking and had to take a break in the middle due to unbearable pain. I had to step down carefully and gently with the foot blade lest the sole of my foot should touch the ground. It brought about twisted posture and back pain. Two years later, the same symptom occurred to the left middle toe, so I had to wear only Crocs women’s free sail clog.
The hospital diagnosed me with ‘interphalangeal neuroma’ which refers to the feet’s nerve compression syndrome and told me that it was due to unknown cause and would not be healed completely even with surgery. I took medicines but there was no improvement. I stopped going to hospital.
I was overwhelmed with anxiety and fear, thinking, ‘Wouldn’t I be able to walk? Should I rely on an electric wheelchair?’
An idea flashed through my mind that I could rely on God alone. I began praying eagerly and waited for God’s answer. I tried my best to change by truths. For a year it seemed that His answer was still far away from me.
On January 8, 2024, while I was praying with an earnest desire at a Vowed Daniel Prayer Meeting, God’s grace came upon me unexpectedly.
My past wrongdoings came up in my mind: I got upset and angry and sometimes showed hot temper in the situations that I thought not fit and spoke negative words, etc. I repented of them with a realization that I had not changed even though I had listened to the holiness gospel for long.
From then on, my body felt light and cool, and my heart was filled with God’s love. At some point, the idea hit upon me that I would be able to put on sneakers and to my surprise, I did it without any pain. I had not been able to wear sneakers for over a year, but now I am so happy that I can go out in sneakers.
I give all thanks and glory to God for He has given me the grace to pray steadfastly in any situation and answered my prayer.
