Deaconess Jaeyeon Song (Age 50, Parish 3-30)


I was born in a Christian family and I was a leader in my church. After getting married in 1995, I began to attend Manmin Central Church my mother-in-law was attending.

I was very happy in my Christian life as I realized through Sr. Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee’s sermon that true faith is taking off sin from the heart. I restarted my Christian life with the heart of a novice believer.

Then, in 1998, my husband (Deacon Hanyoung Kim, Age 54) collapsed from a brain hemorrhage. He had a bleeding deep in his brain, and he had only 30% chance of survival even after surgery.

My mother-in-law (Sr. Deaconess Byungrye Moon) said that the only way was to rely on God. She and I attended the Daniel Prayer Meeting every day and prayed. Then, when I prayed for my husband with the handkerchief of power which the Sr. Pastor had prayed on (Acts 19:11-12), he recovered and was discharged after one month of hospitalization.

Later, my mother-in-law was healed of spondylitis by the Sr. Pastor’s prayer, and I got double eyelids after applying Muan Sweet Water (Exodus 15:25). I continued to experience such things by grace. Then one day, another amazing work happened to me while I was serving as a sub-district leader.

In 2018, my husband had menopausal depression and insomnia. He couldn’t even eat well and went around with a frowned face. One day he asked me, “Will I be able to die comfortably if I jump from the heights?”

What I could do was only to talk with him and pray while he couldn’t sleep at night. Suffering for about a year, he became very anxious one day, shaking his body.

As I prayed for him laying the handkerchief of power that the Sr. Pastor had prayed on his back, I felt that he himself should seek God.

So I let him call, “God”. He couldn’t open his mouth easily at first, but after a little while, he took courage to say, “God!” and burst into tears. My husband and I cried together until dawn. Through that time, his heart was healed completely. Now he says he is happier than anyone else.

On the other hand, he opened a business with the prayer the Sr. Pastor’s prayer 20 years ago, and its sales do not drop despite the IMF or the current coronavirus situation. When people ask, ‘Everyone says there’s no business these days, but why is your business going well?’, my husband says, ‘my wife made a vow and is praying.’ So, they say that prayer makes things different.

My mother-in-law is praying at the Daniel Prayer Meeting, and my mother in Geoje Island is praying in the early mornings for my family to fill the amount of justice of prayer. A few years ago, our factory was relocated to a larger area, and with God’s blessing, the land price rose to 6 billion won.

I give all thanks and glory to God the Father, who is always with me, gives me strength to live, and makes me satisfied with good things.
