Pastor Hyukhee Cho, 1st Grand Parish Pastor, Manmin Central Church


My brother Pastor Daehee Cho was told that he would die because of tuberculosis in the third stage, but he was healed through Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer. I was guided to the church by him in the fall of 1983. It was Friday All-night Service. I shed tears when I listened to the message because it felt so sweet and mysterious. I was convinced that this church is a 'living' church. Afterwards, I was also healed of Rheumatoid arthritis and I was so happy.






Even then, great signs, wonders, and powerful works constantly occurred in the church through Dr. Lee's prayer, and the church members were so filled with the Holy Spirit that they frequently cried out in their prayers. The church was around 33 square meters in size but it was filled with the sound of praise and prayer all the time (Photo, the first sanctuary in Shindaebang-dong). Many people heard about the church and came to be healed of their diseases and infirmities such as aftereffects of stroke, cerebral hemorrhage, polio, and demon-possession. They were healed and glorified God.

People filled the church so fully every service that they could hardly even move. Even people put newspaper or polystyrene on the stairs and sat on them. The then-Friday All-night Service was especially full of the fire of the Holy Spirit such that young adults should wipe the condensation that formed on the ceiling with mops after the first half. Above all, I was really moved by Dr. Lee because he always considered and helped his members, helped other churches, and loved souls. He also treated his members just as his family. I learned about how pastors should perform their ministry through him.



He raised pastors including me by offering places to stay, food to eat, and tuition fee so that we could focus on becoming true pastors. He always taught us that pastors should throw away greed and selfish motives and receive everything from God. We were also taught to achieve the sanctification of heart to receive power. Because he believed that we would be renewed although we had many shortcomings, we could become what we are now (from left, Pastors Hyunkwon Ju, Hyukhee Cho, Daehee Cho, Jeonhwan Cha, and Sungheon Ahn).

More than thirty years have passed since the opening of the church. By the time it opened, God told the church about the world mission and the ministry to Israel that the church would achieve at the end time. When I saw every word of God being accomplished one by one, I could not say anything but, "God is really wonderful". I give all thanks and glory to God who allowed me to become a pastor in this blessed church that has led and will continue to lead all people of all nations to salvation.

By the time the church opened, God gave the church a vision to construct the Grand Sanctuary. In September 1982, God showed 17 church members what the sanctuary will look like. One member saw its roof, another saw the inside of the sanctuary, another saw the rear part, and another, its ninety six beautiful pillars. The roof was designed to open in the shape of the cross, and the sunshine can come into the inside of the building. The altar revolves at the center of the sanctuary.

The God of love allows for the Grand Sanctuary to be built by His true children whom He will gain through tears, sacrifice, and patience. He will reveal His glory and it will be accomplished when the church's pastors and members complete the holy temple in their hearts. Then they will construct the Grand Sanctuary and achieve the providence of God towards all people of all nations. Thus, they have strived to achieve sincere hearts in full assurance.
