Junior Deaconess Jaeyeong Lee; age 31; 3-23 Parish in South Korea


Guided by Deacon Chulhoon Park, whom I had met in my workplace, I registered in Manmin Central Church in 2010.

I used to work a schedule of three shifts so I couldn't keep whole Sabbath. I was visited by Pastor Crystal S. Kim, my parish pastor and her counseling let me realize that I should have prayed to keep the whole Sabbath. I started to pray for it. Meeting with Rev. Soojin Lee, Consolidated Parish Pastor, I also learned about how I should pray to receive an answer.

I was blessed afterwards to transfer to another department where I worked on weekdays. Having experienced God who answered my prayer, I found prayer interesting and attended Daniel Prayer Meeting every night.

My husband and I liked seeing movies so much that we belonged to a movie club in our company and we were "VIPs" in most of the local cinemas. On January 9, 2014, we watched a movie with the club members. The movie was far too away from the truth so I felt a twinge of guilt. I had been taught in worship services that I should cut myself from worldly things to cast off the untruth.

The next day we were waiting in our car for the traffic light to turn green when a car suddenly rammed into our car. We simply thought God was unable to protect us because the movie we had seen was not good.

Then during Lunar New Year's holiday our car was run into again by another car when we pulled over on the shoulder for a moment. On that day, we had seen a movie but we thought it was just an animation. But we felt the love of God who wants us to be under His protection and blessing lest we be attracted to movies and distanced from love for God and hope for Heaven.

On June 13, I received Dr. Lee's prayer of blessing. Then, I was awarded prizes departmentally and personally. I earned the highest grade in the personnel evaluations for the first half of 2014. I give all thanks and glory to God for giving me good things always. Hallelujah!
