[Special 4] The Masai Region : "A Gust of the Holy Spirit Also Strikes the Masai Region"
On April 29~30, 2004, Rev. Dr. Myong-Ho Cheong was invited to speak at a crusade held at Karentharen Manmin Church, in a region where the Masai clan dwells. The explosive work of God's power was manifested as most of the hundreds of people in attendance received healing. As a result, pastors from the neighboring 5 regions requested their churches to become Manmin branch churches. Currently, there are 8 Manmin branch churches in the Masai region.

"The Masai town is being transformed by the Word." Rev. Joshua (Kajiado Manmin Church in the Masai region)
I accepted Jesus in 1989 and began my life in Him. In 2001, God showed me a vision in which I was preaching before a large crowd and sharing grace with them. As I realized that God was calling me to become His servant, I founded a church in Kajiado where I was living at the time. It takes about two hours by bus from Kajiado to Nairobi. Since I first came to know Rev. Dr. Myong-Ho Cheong two years ago, I received abundant grace from his teaching. In 2004, Rev. Dr. Myong-Ho Cheong visited the church I had founded and led a crusade there. By his prayer, scores of people received healing. In January 2005, Rev. Dr. Cheong visited again to lead a crusade at my church. At the time, Rev. Dr. Cheong planted a commemorative tree, and after the crusade the landowner gratuitously gave me his property to build a church. What a blessing this was! My church members who had been deeply moved and come to possess faith by the messages overflowing with life vowed on their own to lead sanctified lives. There are now people serving at the church. Just as I had been taught by Rev. Dr. Cheong, I preached the congregation "The Message of the Cross," salvation, the work of the Holy Spirit, and sanctification. In the mean time, the size of the congregation grew from 50 to 80. For many people received healing and answers to their problems at the crusade Rev. Dr. Myong-Ho Cheong led, my church could witness such revival. Additionally, it had been customary for Masai clansmen to practice polygamy. After hearing Rev. Dr. Cheong's powerful message, however, they are changing little by little to become monogamous. I am sincerely grateful to have received abundant blessing in both body and spirit especially after my church became a Manmin branch church!
