[Zoom In] Year 2008: The Prelude to Blessings - Overflowing love of God and thanksgiving

We have reached a point in the year when the excitement at the prospect of a new beginning and the regret at the time passed meet at a crossroads.
This issue of Manmin News has retraced Year 2008 in which Manmin Central Church has been led by God and drawn a blueprint of blessings prepared for the congregation in the coming year.

A vessel of blessings

Year 2008 was a precious span of time in which each member of Manmin Central Church was held firmly in God's hand and molded into a sanctified child. As they believed they would come forth as vessels prepared for good work despite difficulties they faced (2 Timothy 2:21), they passed a variety of trials only in joy and thanksgiving. Through "The 7-week Special Prayer Meeting" in the first half of the year and "Two Consecutive Special Daniel Prayer Meeting" in the second half, many members who prayed fervently experienced the blessings of their spirits' prosperity, received the blessings in spirit and in flesh, and underwent the work of "Turning the impossible into the possible and the possible into the prosperous."
What can we say of spiritual blessings? Among Manmin members are many warriors of great faith who could enter New Jerusalem, the most glorious of all dwelling places in our true home, heaven. Manmin members have hoped for New Jerusalem in earnest and, having understood the righteousness of God who recompenses according to what they sow, have devoted themselves to prayer, service, carrying out of their God-given duties, and offerings. For that reason, they expect God's overflowing blessings even more.

Turning the world into a district

As an increasing number of people desire to hear the gospel of sanctification and experience manifestations of God's power, the number of congregations joining Manmin Central Church as branch or associate churches has exceeded 8,000, turning Manmin into a church for all people all around the globe.
Bishops Rev. Dr. Myong-Ho Cheong in Africa, Rev. Lazarus Lee in Latin America, Rev. Seung-Gil Ryu in Japan, and Vladimir Osipop in Russia have been actively engaged in mission work in their respective spiritual battlefields. A quick glance at the mission work conducted by missionaries and meetings held in the United States, Canada, Sudan, the Democratic Republic of the Congo, India, Ukraine, Belarus, and Pakistan with the handkerchief on which Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee has prayed more than suffices not only to allow one to feel as though he is reading a new chapter of "The Book of the Acts of the Apostles" but also enhance the image of Manmin around the world.
The broadcast ministry of the Global Christian Network (GCN) and the literary mission work spearheaded by Dr. Jaerock Lee's written works cannot be left out.
More than 130 political, financial, and church leaders, as well as GCN and World Christian Doctors Network (WCDN) officers from 30 nations attended Manmin Central Church's 26th Anniversary and GCN's 3rd Anniversary Celebrations in October 2008. In the literary field, 79 books written by Dr. Lee have been translated into 17 languages and have been blanketing the five continents with the gospel of sanctification. It is time for each Manmin member to be confident for being a part of the Manmin congregation that is leading countless souls to salvation and gather their strength.

To Canaan, a land flowing with milk and honey

As the name suggests, the "Canaan Sanctuary" is a sanctuary of blessings and rest. With their eyes fixed on the true rest and blessings God has in store for them, Manmin members' desire for the construction of a new sanctuary has been more fervent than in any other year.
In Year 2008, Manmin took more specific steps towards the relocation into a new sanctuary. In order to attain to the measure of faith and an organization befitting the scale of the Canaan Sanctuary, the church's structure has been newly revamped. Furthermore, just as the Israelites needed 40 years in the wilderness before they entered the Promised Land of Canaan following the exodus, Year 2008 was a precious time that served as the foundation of sanctification for all Manmin members prior to an imminent relocation into the Canaan Sanctuary.
Fathoming the love of Our God who allows them to build the Canaan Sanctuary prior to constructing the Grand Sanctuary that will display the majesty and glory of God among all peoples of the world, Manmin members will give thanks in any circumstances and conditions and move forward amidst firm hope for New Jerusalem.

Increasing scale of manifestations of God's power

In the last days in which the world is drenched in sin and evil, God has given His power to a man who is after Him (Psalm 62:11) and allowed that servant to testify to the living God. Since the founding of Manmin, manifestations of God's power have been taking place through Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee and the scale of manifestations has increased year after year.
Manmin members have experienced this year manifestations of creative power of God recorded in the Bible, the works of God's power that transcend time and space, changing of the weather, and sudden appearances of dragonflies. All of these have aided Manmin members in clearly understanding the spiritual world and placed them on the shortcut to blessings.
As they have come to understand in depth the spiritual world and the secrets of the Bible one by one, Manmin members have been blessed to grasp the "Space and Dimension" sermon series now proclaimed during Sunday Evening Services.
At the onset of Year 2009 filled with great expectations and hope, every Manmin member will give glory to God as he bears witness to the church's bearing fruit of its vision amidst the countless manifestations of God's power. We expect each of them to be a hero and a heroine in that history.
