They delight the crowd at the 1st anniversary celebrations of Global Christian Network in Seoul, South Korea
By Dan Wooding Founder of ASSIST Ministries
SEOUL, SOUTH KOREA (ANS) -- The audience at a Seoul church thought they had seen and experienced just about everything as the Manmin Praise Team presented an unprecedented program featuring a multi-media production of song, dance, drama, orchestral overtures, percussion, fireworks, elaborate costumes, laser lights, and much more which set the stage for a powerful and worshipful, multilingual and multicultural finale leaving each participant in standing ovation.
The dazzling performances on Sunday, October 8, 2006, were part of the celebration of the 1st anniversary of Global Christian Network and they took place in Seoul, South Korea, hosted by Manmin TV and Manmin Joong-ang Church.
But suddenly as green laser light flashed, all eyes turned to the center of the church to see four young women, part of Miracle, an electronic string quartet, each standing dramatically on raised up platforms, begin playing modern arrangements of popular Gospel songs on their electronic string instruments.

The crowd were soon cheering wildly as they transformed their classical instruments of violins, viola and cello, into a dazzling display of sight and sound as they powered their way through a series of popular Christian songs.
Consisting of four female members from the Manmin Nissi Orchestra, Miracle's dazzling yellow and red outfits and powerful sound performance brought the audience to its feet to enthusiastically clap and sing along to their stunning performance.
The group began in October 2003, and have been performing in their unique electronic style ever since and judging by the wild applause at the end of their set, they will be continuing for a long time to come
Weekend-long event
The weekend-long 1st anniversary event included a special reception in honor of GCN and its partners as well as a full day celebration of praise and thanksgiving, coinciding with the Korean Thanksgiving Holiday weekend.

Special guests from Pakistan, France, Israel, Russia, the Philippines, China, Japan, the United States, Dominican Republic, Chile, India, Faroe Islands, and others enjoyed a tremendous program celebrating the diversity of the Body of Christ in the richness of multicultural praise. Each represented their respective countries and media outlets as affiliates of GCN and supporters of the vision. A parade of flags led the procession of distinguished guests in a ceremonial cake-cutting to commemorate GCN's first birthday.
Executive Director and President of GCN, Nestor Colombo, in an address to the more than five thousand present and all viewers tuned in via the Internet stated, "This has been a year of sowing in good soil. We have laid a firm foundation over which we can continue building in the years to come. . . may the vision of preaching the Gospel to the world be upheld first and foremost by God as well as by the millions of people currently watching and those who will come to watch GCN…"
Among Christian mass media, GCN works to differentiate itself by the diversity of its multicultural programming representing a myriad of nations around the world with excellence in production as well as integrity in the presentation of the Gospel message.
In Colombo's words, "GCN truly is a channel for all people."
And I would like to add that the group Miracle, was truly music for all people!
