The 5th International Christian Medical Conference Hosted by WCDN

A Spiritual Revolution in the Medical World: The 5th International Christian Medical Conference Held under the theme 'Spirituality and Medicine' and attended by 220 Christian medical professionals from 39 nations around the globe

The World Christian Doctors Network ("WCDN"; Dr. Jaerock Lee, Chairman) held "The 5th International Christian Medical Conference" in Trondheim, Norway, May 15-16, 2008.
This year's conference, at which 220 Christian medical professionals from 39 nations around the world gathered and many cases of divine healing were presented, was deemed rather exceptional with many Christian physicians from Europe in attendance.
Proceedings and the aftermath of the conference were relayed to the rest of the world via TV 2 of Norway and NPK P1 Radio of Norway; Faroe Islands Radio; ANS of the United States; and the UBC TV of the United Kingdom. Each session of the conference progressed amidst God's grace with the performances by teams from Manmin Central Church as well as praise teams from Norway and Germany.

The World Christian Doctors Network ("WCDN"; Dr. Jaerock Lee, Chairman) is an interdenominational organization that collects and analyzes the evidence of divine healing taking place by the prayer of Christian doctors, and spreads the news of God's power. With branch offices in the United States, Dubai in the United Arab Emirates, India, Russia, the Philippines, China, and Peru, WCDN is active in many different parts of the world as well.
"The 5th International Christian Medical Conference" hosted by WCDN took place in Trondheim, Norway, May 15 & 16, 2008. In attendance were 220 Christian medical professionals, including those from Italy, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, and Denmark, along with 60 physicians from the host country.

Given up medically but healed by faith

The Conference kicked off with welcoming remarks by Dr. Jenis av Rana (Member of the foreign committee and northwest alliance of the Faroe Islands Parliament), Chairman of the Conference Organizing Committee and by Dr. Gilbert Yoon-Seok Chae, President of WCDN. In his address, Dr. Chae observed, "Although most advanced medical science such as successful researches on cloning of animals with stem cells has been emerged, it is true that numerous incurable diseases and deadly emerging diseases have been increasing continually in spite of that development." He added, "God is the only One who knows about people the most and is able to cure our various diseases."
In a video message, Founder Dr. Jaerock Lee urged those in attendance to "make use of science and medical knowledge in your capacity as Christian physicians and bear witness to God."
During times of case presentations, diseases and illnesses against which medical science had been utterly powerless but healed and cured by the power of God were introduced along with comprehensive medical records, and each presentation was followed by a "Questions & Answers" session.
The case of Gun-Wie Park (15), presented with thorough records produced by his primary physicians and hospital, received greatest attention among the participants. Park had undergone a cataract surgery in his left eye when he was three years old but as an aftereffect of the operation, he began to suffer from a severe case of uveitis and complete retinal detachment (separation of the layers of the optic nerves that leads to loss of vision). In addition, Park suffered from optic atrophy, a condition that contracts the eyeball. In 2006, Park completely lost vision in his left eye and the vision in his right eye had also deteriorated to a point at which he suffered greatly in his studies as well as in life in general.
In July 2007, Park began to sense light and see objects through his left eye the moment he received prayer from Dr. Jaerock Lee. A follow-up examination revealed that the vision in his left eye, which had even not been able to detect light, had improved to 0.1 O.S. His intraocular pressure had also improved from 4 to 18, signifying the recovery of the contracted eyeball. In addition, the vision in his right eye, which had been 0.1 O.D., also vastly improved to 0.9 O.D.
Physicians and medical professionals from the United States, Norway, and Belgium also presented cases in which incurable and terminal diseases were healed by prayer.
Among the cases presented were featured a patient doomed to death by non-Hodgkin lymphoma, a type of cancer, and another who had suffered from a severe case of endometriosis that prevented her from becoming pregnant for 11 years, and many more, all of whom have since been healed and/or become pregnant by prayer.

3. Dr. Sven Frederick Østerhus, (Member, Organizing Committee; Surgeon, National Hospital, Denmark)

Doctors believing in miracles

Attending the annual WCDN Conference for the second time, Dr. Chauncey Crandall of the Palm Beach Cardio Vascular Clinic in Jupiter, Florida, relayed on a large screen his own experience, which had been vividly featured in a local news on a Fox Network affiliate.
Dr. Crandall was performing cardiopulmonary resuscitation for more than 40 minutes to a 53-year-old patient suffering from myocardial infarction, but when the patient did not come back to life Dr. Crandall pronounced him dead. At that moment, Dr. Crandall heard the voice of the Holy Spirit, "Pray for that patient," and he began to plead to God in tears, "Please bring him back to life by the name of the Lord!" A few minutes later, the patient's heart began to beat and his fingers and toes began to move again.
Meanwhile, Dr. Mikhail Morgulis, President of Spiritual Diplomacy based in the United States as well as a renowned journalist, said, "The Norway Conference that presented the evidence of God's power attests to the plain fact that the works of God's power did not come to an end 2,000 years ago but very much continues to this day."

A spiritual revolution in the medical field

A Korean missionary commissioned to Trondheim, Norway (who wished not to be identified), said, "Most churches in Europe are empty nowadays. I think it is very significant and necessary for a Christian medical organization to testify to God's power. I hope to see Conferences of this nature taking place even more."
Dr. Jenis av Rana, Director of WCDN Scandinavia and Chairman of this year's Conference, remarked, "Christian doctors have a privilege. In addition to the help medical knowledge and science offer, they can receive Jesus' help, and this is because He triumphed on the cross."
An observation from a participant following the Conference well sums up the character of such a gathering. "There is a spiritual revolution in the medical field spearheaded by physicians testifying to God's power with their medical experience and professional knowledge."
"The 6th International Christian Medical Conference" is scheduled to take place in Kiev, Ukraine, in May 2009.
