Professed Children of Manmin at the 2010 Children's Sunday School Devotional Service - Our Heavenly Father, We Love You!
Representatives of each group of children's Sunday school are offering special songs at the devotional service. Children's pure and innocent songs and their sincere attention to the message touched the heart of many people.
On October 17, Children's Sunday School, whose principal is Pastor Sungshik Jang, offered its devotional service during Sunday evening service. Speaker Dr. Jaerock Lee delivered the message entitled with "What We Should Not Forget" based on 1 Corinthians 15:10. In his message, Dr. Lee said, "You should not forget three different kinds of grace: First the grace of God the Father who gave up His only begotten Son for us and prepared the kingdom of Heaven for us; second, the grace of the Lord who took all terrible sufferings at a cross on our behalf and saved us; and last and third, the grace of the shepherd who has been teaching you the truths and planting true faith into your heart with the Word and power." The children in attendance sat on the pews that are in the frontal area of the main sanctuary listened to the message attentively with shining eyes and saying, "Amen." In the conclusion, Dr. Lee urged the children "[to] worship God in truth and spirit, to love God first of all, and to love your neighbors as yourselves." He also asked parents and teachers "[to] examine if the children have true faith and lead them to possess true faith." After preaching, Sister Eunyoung Jang read the audience the letter of thanksgiving as a representative, and the children gave the devotional service offering to God. Deaconess Soonmi Moon, President of Teachers' Association at Children's Sunday School, said in the interview, "At this devotional service the children offered God their dedication offerings for the upcoming crusade Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee is going to conduct in Estonia. Some children have saved their offerings for one year with pocket money." A 10-year-old brother Chanyoung Lee said, "I'm so happy to lay aside all the pocket moneys I received from my parents and relatives on Korean traditional festivals, and offer all of them to God. My prayer topic is to enter the City of New Jerusalem along with Senior Pastor and parents." A 13-year-old sister Siyah Ko, who presided the devotional service, interviewed, saying, "I used to attend a Catholic church before I came to Manmin Central Church along with my parents. When I came here for the first time, I felt a little unfamiliar with many things but found there are many good children. While praying at the Saturday Children's Prayer Meeting, I came to have a desire to live by the Word of God. At this devotional service, listening to the message Senior Pastor delivered, I was determined to change by the truth and enter the City of New Jerusalem. I've been recently taking delight in praying at the Two Consecutive Daniel Prayer Meetings." Deaconess Sungja Kim, Managing Teacher of Singing and Dancing Department, commented on the performances of children, "Many of the children performers have experiences of miraculous healing by the prayer of Dr. Jaerock Lee. Some children, though they are living in the outskirts of Seoul, did their best to attend performance practice meeting punctually. It was touching to me." Children's Sunday School is divided into 8 groups: Toddlers' Group, Children's Group, Group 1 to 6, First through 6 Grade of Elementary School, and Sunday school teachers are trying their best to teach and guide those children with the wisdom from above by prayer and the Word of God.
