On February 21, the 6th Anniversary and Inauguration Service of Eastern Gwangju Manmin Church was conducted with the Speaker Pastor Heesun Lee. In her sermon titled "Perfection in the Lord," she stressed the point saying, "To become a man of perfection who participates in the divine nature, we have to demolish our self-righteousness which comes from our own characteristics and by which we insist on something we think is right in the Lord." The base scripture was from 2 Peter 1:4.
Also on this day Pastor Geun-a Joo was inaugurated as an assistant pastor and Deaconess Soonduk Hwang, Deaconess Jungsook Lee and Deaconess Shinsil Kim were appointed as senior deaconesses. Deacon Hee-kwon Chae and Senior Deaconess Jungsook Lee were each awarded a Plaque of Appreciation. Pastor Andrew Kim and the Passion Praise Team from Manmin Central Church and the Children's Sunday School, Men's Mission, Women's Mission and Deaconess Su-kyung Lim of Eastern Gwangju Manmin Church glorified God with special songs.
Earlier on Saturday February 20th, a Handkerchief Meeting was held with the speaker Pastor Heesun Lee. A woman member who couldn't move her body due to thrombocytopenia came to move her body freely and a woman of another church, who suffered from the after-effects of lung cancer surgery accompanied with severe pain, was healed and gave glory to God.
