Suppose that we have an apple of gold in front of us. What kind of vessel would be good for the apple? For its value, a cunningly wrought silverware would be much better than an old chipped chinaware. It is same with the blessing of God. Even the same words we speak can either bring or block the blessing of God according to the situations in which we apeak them. Proverbs 25:11 says, "A word aptly spoken is like apples of gold in settings of silver." A word aptly spoken means the words we speak to others out of love in truth to give them strength, joy and life. As a chinaware is not good for an apple of gold, even the words of truth cannot be considered as a word aptly spoken if they break the peace or hurt someone by judging and condemning. To speak aptly, we should be full of love and pure in our heart. Then we can lead a successful life by speaking appropriately according to the situations we are in.
