Today many people are self-centered. For their own good, they change their plans, tell a lie, and even plot an evil scheme. When the other doesn't follow their will, they harbor hatred against him and even stay away from him. They have ill feelings toward those who don't serve them properly. Worse, they may even betray their close friends or co-workers according to their benefits. They may forsake the duty of man and choose to seek their benefits. Such people are much likely to change their mind before God and even betray Him. Therefore, if you want to have a steadfast and unchanging love for God, you must cast off this self-centeredness. "Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor" (1 Corinthians 10:24).
