A mother and her child were in a toy shop and he picked out a toy he wanted. His mother put it on the counter to pay for it. Suddenly, the child burst out crying and told mother to give it back to him. This is because he did not know that he could have it only after he put it down on the counter and paid for it. He just thought that her mother took it away. This is the same with our life in the sight of God. He promises that if we throw away such evil things as hatred, jealousy, arrogance, and hot-temper He will give us glory and blessings that can never be compared with them. But if we keep them as though they were precious treasures, what a pity God must feel towards us! (Matthew 13:44)
