Most people feel uncomfortable when they are faced with disadvantage due to others' mistakes. When they pass blame onto others they fail to notice the discomfort they cause. Let's suppose you are punished because of your friend's mistake, but he doesn't seem to feel sorry for you because of it. You might harbor hard feelings toward him. In this situation you may see only his fault and think it's wrong for you to have such discomfort. But it can't be said that you have goodness if you have such discomfort towards others. Men of goodness have no uncomfortable feeling even when others make mistakes. They understand them and should be able to advise them with love (Romans 12:17).
