The stories about those who have sacrificed themselves for others move people's hearts. Listening to them, some might think that they too would like to live a similar life. But it is never easy to practice a life of self-sacrifice and if a person has a heart that seeks personal advantage for himself or his family, or he has selfish-motives, it cannot be done. You can lead a life seeking others' benefits when you get rid of selfish motives from your heart. The God of love is pleased with those who can set aside their own interests in order to look out for the interest of others. He also rewards them with His blessings (Philippians 2:4).
