  Self-destructive Poison 2013-10-15

Jealousy is the feeling of anger or bitterness toward others. The individual who harbors large amounts of jealousy, feels uneasy seeing others prospering and getting on well. For instance, Saul, the first King of Israel, was so jealous of seeing David greatly loved by people that he wasted many years trying to kill him. Finally, in the end Saul met a miserable death. A person suffers from jealousy by constant self-comparison to others. Therefore, we should understand that in the end jealously is like a self-destructive poison. It is essential to get rid of it by the Word of God and prayer.

"A tranquil heart is life to the body, but passion is rottenness to the bones" (Proverbs 14:30).
