Things that Don't Exist and Things that Are Concealed

Occasionally we are shocked when a person who seems to be naturally so good that they don't need rules or laws to guide him in life commits a serious crime. This is because 'to be good' and 'to seem to be good' are different. If a person's personality outwardly seems to be good but his heart is bad, people still tend to consider him to be a "good" person. Even if he seems to be good, however, God does not recognize him to be good by his outward appearance. God measures each individual not by his outward appearances but by the lack of evil in their hearts (1 Samuel 16:7). For example, a person who has thrown away the natures of hatred, envy, haughtiness, or anger in his heart then he doesn't give difficulties and hardships to others under any circumstance. God recognizes the nature of the heart of such a person and lets him enjoy a blessed life.
