The Apostle Paul was a Jew but gained the citizenship of the Empire of Rome, and learned from one of the greatest teachers. But since he met the Lord Jesus Christ, he came to consider the knowledge of Christ as the most valuable and threw away all his prides of this life as trash (Philippians 3:7-8). He had seemed to have everything but failed to enjoy true peace until he met the Lord, while since then he had not only enjoyed true joy but also participated in the everlasting glory though he had to experience many persecutions and difficulties.
