When you look at another's faults from your own point of view you may think, "How could they do such a thing?" However, if you try to look at the other person's situation with the eyes of understanding you may be able to realize why they thought they had no other choice in the situation. Moreover, if you can reach out with forgiveness and understanding from the heart, they may be able to see their fault, repent and change. Just as Aesop's fables tell us that where the strong stormy winds had failed, it was the warmth of the sunlight that succeeded in getting a man to remove his coat. Rather than sharp judgment and strong rebuke it is the warmth of love that can bring about change.
