In seeking others' benefits, it is the most important to understand and measure their heart first. You may have given people something you thought good and coerced them into receiving it although they didn't want it. It might have been a burden to them. Thus, to seek the good of others, you should understand their growth environment and their minds and way of thinking formed in the environment. When you try to understand them in every matter, you can really seek their good. "Let no one seek his own good, but that of his neighbor" (1 Corinthians 10:24).
