"Holiness" is the quality of being holy without any sin. So, it is inappropriate to use the word for men. Only our God who is goodness deserves to be called the "Holy One." However, 1 Peter 1:15 reads, "But like the Holy One who called you, be holy yourselves also in all your behavior." God wants us to be holy not just in actions but also in heart. When we cast away evil attributes such as hatred, jealousy, bad temper, and arrogance and replace them with goodness, love, and peace according to the Word of God, our heart can be washed clean and white and then we will be led to the way of blessing. "For it is sanctified by means of the word of God and prayer" (1 Timothy 4:5)
