In the middle of the 1st century, tremendous works of the Holy Spirit took place in the center of Asia Minor at the Church of Ephesus. When the people carried a handkerchief or aprons from the body of Paul to the sick, the diseases left them and the evil spirits went out. The reason why Apostle Paul could perform such extraordinary works is that his love for the Lord never changed and his love for those who persecuted him was such that he could give them his life.
"Truly, truly, I say to you, he who believes in Me, the works that I do, he will do also; and greater works than these he will do; because I go to the Father." (John 14:12)
