The ancient people deem it as unhappiness to succeed early in life. To have parents and brothers who had great power and authority, to have exceptional talents, genius or to be good at writing was not considered advantageous because it was thought that such people might become unhappy due to arrogance derived from such things. There are some people who become arrogant when they gain fame and authority while others are praised for their actions of humbleness. God loves those who show deeds of humbleness under any circumstances and makes their ways straight.
"Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before stumbling" (Proverbs 16:18).
