Many people want to boast of their strength and exalt themselves. They think it allows them to look superior and others will respect them. Is it really true? In the case, others might pretend to respect them on the outside, but it is rarely sincere respect. On the contrary, if you serve and respect others even doing things they ask, even if you seem to be humbled at the moment, you will win over their hearts and gain real respect from them eventually.
"Whoever exalts himself shall be humbled; and whoever humbles himself shall be exalted" (Matthew 23:12).
