I hope your life will be full of God's blessing, and I want to share grace with you through the message titled with "Heaven More Valuable than Anything Else."
Matthew 13:45-46 reads, "Again, the kingdom of heaven is like a merchant seeking fine pearls, and upon finding one pearl of great value, he went and sold all that he had and bought it." It means that if one can buy the glory of Heaven, one will willingly sell everything, regardless of its value.
If you put the value of Heaven in your top priority, you can get rid of the things you value on this earth and you can enjoy joy even in difficulties. Then, if you know that Heaven is the most valuable and live in that knowledge, what should you do?
First, your heart must be filled with God
If you crucify the flesh with its passions and desires, you will be filled with faith and love so that your heart may be filled with God, the Lord, the shepherd, and other believers.
You cannot fill your heart with God just by wishing for Him to be in your heart. Nor is it the case when you just say with words you want Him to be in your heart. You must value God's love and grace that you received and try your best to repay Him for His grace. In addition, you should abandon your desire to gain recognition and praises from others and to enjoy something o this earth. You have to discard everything fleshly including your ego, your family, self-righteousness, frameworks, and so on. When you throw away such fleshly things from your heart, the vacant spot which used to be full of flesh can be now filled with God.
Second, the words you speak must be clean
God is watching over you with His blazing eyes at every moment of your life. If you believe what He is doing, you must let your lips be holy. It means you should not speak the words of doubt, complaint, or taunting someone else. You should glorify God and renew the souls with words of love and virtue.
The first you have to do for this is to fill your heart with the hope for Heaven and the love of the Lord. Only then, can those around you receive grace and strength and act in the truth with joy and thanksgiving.
Third, you must not have adultery both in flesh and in spirit.
Committing spiritual adultery is worse than committing adultery in body. When you love the world more than God despite your profession of your faith in God, it says you are committing adultery in spirit. If you truly love God you should commit neither spiritual adultery nor physical adultery.
2 Timothy 5:2 reads, "The older women as mothers, and the younger women as sisters, in all purity." It means that we should not look at our brothers and sisters in Christ with an adulterous mind at all and treat them only with a pure heart. When our hearts are purified, our deeds naturally become holy.
Therefore, I pray in the name of the Lord that you may cast off lingering attachment of the flesh and take off all forms of ungodly deeds of the body so that you can fill your hearts with Heaven that is more valuable than anything else. |
