[26] And He said, "If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the LORD, am your healer."
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
You can find in the Bible that amazing things took place wherever Jesus went.
The blind came to see, the deaf came to hear, and the crippled came to walk and jump.
Various diseases including leprosy, which was incurable in those days, were healed, and even the dead came to life.
God the Father, who is the same yesterday and today, still manifests wonders and signs.
And the members of this church are the sure witnesses.
Before I met God in 1974, I suffered from so many diseases to be called a "disease warehouse", and I was waiting for death.
Since I gave birth to daughters when I was weak, they, too, got sick easily.
However, after I met God and was healed of all my diseases, neither I nor my family have never been to a hospital during the last 30 years.
Most of Manmin members, as they are managing proper Christina lives, don't go to hospitals; not even once a year.
They always see and hear of the works of God which are impossible by a man's understanding, and they themselves are healed. They receive blessings and experience the works of God.
If you are led to this church by someone, then I believe that you came here to meet the living God because you heard such testimonies.
You came here with a longing heart to have your problems solved, to be healed, or to receive blessing in spirit and body.
Even though Jesus manifested such great power, still not all the Israelites received healing.
Some received answers, but others didn't even though they all witnessed the power of the Lord.
Where does this difference come from?
It is a matter of whether you have faith or not.
Those who came to Jesus with faith received answers to the desires of their hearts.
They came to the Lord by themselves and sought answers by faith. If they themselves couldn't come to the Lord, their family came to the Lord on behalf of them.
For example, there was a lady who had an issue of blood for 12 years. She was healed when she came to Jesus.
Mark 5:28 tells us that she had the faith that if she would get well, if she just touched His garments.
Just as she believed, she was completely healed when she touched His clothes.
When the blind beggar, Bartimaeus, came to Jesus, He said to the beggar, "Go; your faith has made you well." (Mark 10:52)
There is a record of a paralytic who was brought to Jesus through the roof that had been removed.
Since he was unable to get to Jesus because of the crowd, his friends removed the roof above Him, they dug an opening, and they let down the pallet on which the paralytic was lying. (Mark 2:4)
They did so because they had faith that he would be healed once he came to Jesus.
Like these, to receive the work of God, you should surely prepare a vessel of faith.
Dear brothers and sisters.
Nothing is impossible to God; He is Almighty.
The power of Almighty God is taking place in this church every day.
Even though they are incurable by modern medical science, nothing is impossible before God.
By the power of God, all kinds of diseases are healed such as AIDS, leukemia, various cancers, lung diseases, and herniated disk.
A leg shortened due to polio became normally lengthened, and broken bones and torn ligaments were restored.
Many who came in on wheel chairs left on their feet.
The blind came to see, and the mute came to speak.
Children who suffered from terrible atopic dermatitis, people who had carbon monoxide gas-poisoning with no hope for recovery, one who had 12 rib bones broken in a car accident and others with their lives at stake; when they received prayer by faith, they were soon healed and they recovered.
When I conducted overseas crusades, tens of thousands, or hundreds of thousands of people were healed and testified to their healing once they received my prayer from the stage.
Those who were at the doorstep of death in other countries, having not a moment to lose, sent their pictures to receive my prayer, and they were healed.
These countless works are taking place in this church every week, and every month.
No matter how great the power of God is, if you yourself don't receive an answer, how sorry it is for you!
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
Do you desire to receive answers tonight?
You do want to meet and experience God, and receive blessing, don't you?
Then, you should realize where the root cause of your problem is.
And you should solve the cause before God.
I'm delivering a message, entitled, "God the Healer." I'll tell you about the cause of disease, and its cure.
This message is not limited to diseases. It is also the ultimate solution to all kinds of problems of life.
At this point, I have to tell you to remember one thing.
Just sitting down in a service or a prayer meeting doesn't heal your diseases or solve your problems.
Some people doze off when they come before God to worship Him. Some don't even open their mouth when they are singing praises.
Some others open their eyes during the prayer time, or mumble as they are falling asleep.
If you are one of them, it means you don't have even the minimum of faith to receive healing.
I urge you to listen to this message carefully and understand it. Pray fervently and sing praises passionately to please God.
Say, someone tells you that he will give you a million dollars at dawn if you stay up all night without falling asleep.
What an exciting offer it is!
No matter how tired you are, you will do everything not to fall asleep if you have hope and assurance of receiving such a great amount of money soon!
By the same token, if you truly believe in God the Almighty, how should you worship God when He looks down on you right now?
If you truly believe that God is Almighty, and if you truly receive answer, how can you fall asleep or have an idle thought?
I hope that you will worship God in spirit and truth, and sing praises to God while diligently understanding the word of God.
I pray in the name of the Lord that all of you may receive healing and answers tonight!
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
When God created heavens and the earth, there was no disease or pain.
There was no disaster or death.
When the first man, Adam, committed sin, however, he and all the creatures that he managed came under a curse.
From that moment on, all kinds of germs and viruses, and other disease-carrying dirty things came to exist.
Diseases from environment pollution appeared, and infirmities of the mind and body also appeared, there are bodies incompletely formed either acquired or congenital.
In the end, the sin of Adam is the fundament cause of all diseases.
Tonight's scripture, Exodus 15:26 also tells us that the cause of disease is sin.
It says, "And He said, "If you will give earnest heed to the voice of the LORD your God, and do what is right in His sight, and give ear to His commandments, and keep all His statutes, I will put none of the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians; for I, the LORD, am your healer.""
Here, "the diseases on you which I have put on the Egyptians" refer to all the disease of the earth.
Tonight's scripture is the promise of God.
God tells us that He will protect us from all kinds of diseases when we live by the word of God.
It's not that we live a righteous and good life before the eyes of men. We should be recognized righteous by God.
When you violate His word and live in sin, God cannot protect you.
Since God doesn't protect you, you can be ill, or you become disabled from an accident.
Or, your baby may be born with diseases or infirmities.
Of course, there is an exception like the blind man in John Ch. 9.
The Lord said he was born blind "so that the works of God might be displayed in him." (John 2:3)
But, it is a very rare case. In most cases, the fundamental cause of diseases or infirmities lies in sin.
If you want to have the problem of your diseases or infirmities solved, you should first solve have the problem of sin.
Jesus also forgave people's sin before He healed them.
Before He healed the paralytic as in Mark Ch. 2, He said, "Son, your sins are forgiven." (Mark 2:5)
After he was forgiven of his sin, when Jesus said to him, "Get up, pick up your pallet and go home," he immediately got up and walked out. (Mark 2:11-12)
When his sin was forgiven, he was healed.
Therefore, to be healed of your disease, you should first repent of not having lived by the word of God, and receive forgiveness.
However, sometimes chances are that people get sick even though they don't commit a sin.
For example, they don't take care of their body, but keep doing things that are harmful to their body.
They overwork, or they eat irregularly; they overeat or eat to excess. They sometimes don't eat nutritionally balanced meals.
If they continue to live like this, it is to break the natural laws of the flesh that God created, and thus they cannot be protected according to justice.
Even in this case, you should repent before God for not managing your body and health properly.
Additionally, taking harmful things into the body such as alcohol or cigarettes is also a cause of diseases.
Many people don't quit but take in harmful substances even though they know they are harmful.
If they cannot control themselves, they cannot cast off greed, and they don't take care of themselves they harm their bodies.
The bible says, "When lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death."
You should also repent of it before God, and turn back.
There are diseases that are due to mental causes.
When people continue to receive severe stress due to worries and anxieties, or when they suppress extreme anger, hatred, or sorrow, they can become sick.
They begin to have problems with the nervous system or mental problems such as neurosis, depression, and anxiety attacks, and this in turn causes problems in other parts of the body.
Sometimes, they are mentally weak and surrender their minds and thoughts to the darkness so that they are captured by the forces of the darkness.
However, such diseases can also be healed if they live by the word of God.
God says, "Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God." (Philippians 4:6)
He also says, "Rejoice always, give thanks in everything," and "Pursue peace with all men," and "Don't get upset."
He says, "Love your enemies," and "Don't hate," and "Don't seek your own benefit."
If you live by the word of God like this, you will have peace in your heart, and you will never suffer.
When you have hatred, a hot temper, and ill feelings, you cannot forgive but only begrudge and hate.
You can neither give thanks, nor rejoice, but hold feelings of resentment and worry because you don't trust in God.
Therefore, these are also the acts of unrighteousness before God, and they are also the things you should repent.
Finally, there are diseases that the enemy devil and Satan bring on an individual.
It is the case of being captured by Satan, or possessed by demons.
There are also handicaps or diseases that the enemy devil and Satan bring.
They usually appear in a family where idol-worshiping is severe.
You can see that continuous trials and afflictions never leave a family that is deeply involved in idol-worshiping.
It's because idol-worshiping is a sin that God hates and detests most.
Exodus 20:5 says, ""You shall not worship them or serve them; for I, the LORD your God, am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers on the children, on the third and the fourth generations of those who hate Me."
When people stand against God by idol-worship, its aftermath reaches their third or fourth generations.
Serious problems such as disease, disability, mental disorder, alcohol addiction, depression, and suicide keep occurring in these families.
Even such a family, however, can be protected if they accept the Lord in their good heart, and live by the word of God.
Even when you go to church, however, chances are that some sort of tie to an idol is still bound to you without your knowledge.
For example, your parent or one of your ancestors carved or engraved your name on the Buddhist building or anything related with idols.
It is better for you to erase or remove your name from it in order not to provide an opportunity for an accusation by Satan.
In addition, either your ancestors or you did serious evil things; you may get captured by Satan, or possessed by demons.
Often, even among church-goers who have nothing to do with idols, there are some of them who become demon-possessed or receive the work of evil spirit.
It is the case when they do serious evil which goes beyond the human limit even though they confess they believe.
Even in these cases, when they repent completely before God, they can have the problems solved.
By the way, if the patient has a mental disorder so that he cannot listen and understand the word, he should not come to the temple of God.
His family should repent in love for the person, and come to receive prayer by faith on his/her behalf.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
Isaiah 59:1-2 says, "Behold, the LORD'S hand is not so short that it cannot save; nor is His ear so dull that it cannot hear. But your iniquities have made a separation between you and your God, and your sins have hidden His face from you so that He does not hear."
A person may not be able to receive answers, not because God is unable, but because there is a barrier of sin between that person and God.
Therefore, to experience the work of God, the man should first repent of his sin and turn back completely to destroy the barrier of sin.
Now, concretely speaking, what specifically should you repent?
First of all, you should repent of not believing in God and not accepting the Lord Jesus Christ.
God is the Creator who created us.
He loves us, and He sacrificed His only begotten Son for us.
Not appreciating the importance and not believing in such a love is the biggest sin of all.
When you realize it and repent of not believing in God, and accept the Lord Jesus Christ, then God gives you the Holy Spirit.
By receiving the Holy Spirit itself, the chances are that many diseases are able to be burned by the fire of the Holy Spirit and cleansed immediately.
Second, if you got sick even if you think you believe in the Lord, you should repent you didn't have true faith.
Even though you confess you believe and go to church, you may not have full assurance of faith in God, and not accept the Lord as your savior.
You also doubt when you hear someone is healed by the work of God.
When you have a problem in this case, you come to depend on the world more than on God.
There was Asa the King in 2 Chronicles.
In the beginning, he believed firmly in God, and he experienced the amazing works of God, but later he changed and distanced himself far from God.
2 Chronicles 16:12 says, "In the thirty-ninth year of his reign Asa became diseased in his feet. His disease was severe, yet even in his disease he did not seek the LORD, but the physicians."
Let me cite an example for you.
Let's say, your father is the best heart surgeon in the world.
If you have a problem with your heart, whom will go to for help?
Of course, it's your father, the world's best surgeon.
If you go to another surgeon, it's either because you did something wrong before your father, or because you have some problem between you and your father.
Your father will feel mistreated at not having been trusted by his own child.
It is the same with the relationship between God the Father and us.
God is the Father to you and me.
He is full of love and He is Almighty.
If you truly believe such God, you will depend only on God.
If you don't have enough faith in God, however, then you will depend on the world and seek for a worldly way.
If you repent of not fully believing in God, and keep showing your faith depending only on God, God will surely give you answer.
Next, you should repent of not keeping the commandments even though you say, "I believe God, and I love God."
1 John 5:3 says, "For this is the love of God, that we keep His commandments; and His commandments are not burdensome."
Proverbs 8:13 also says, "The fear of the LORD is to hate evil."
If you live in sin even when you confess you believe God, love God, and fear God, your confession is a lie.
There are many commands that God gave; cast off arrogance, greed, and adultery, honor your parents, keep the Sabbath holy, give tithes and thanks, don't bear false witness, love you neighbors as you love yourself, don't get angry, don't envy, don't become jealous, don't judge, don't condemn.
If you ask God to heal you and to give you blessing without trying to keep these commands, what will God say to you?
Here is an example.
A son is always disobeying his parents. When he is told to study, he plays. When he is told to be good to his brother, he makes his brother cry.
When he is told to clean his room, he has a tantrum. He plays with bad friends and makes trouble for his parents.
If he then says to his parents, "I love you. Please buy me a good bike or a computer." Do you think his parents will be pleased with him?
He has to repent of hurting his parents' hearts, and become a good son.
It is the same between you and God.
You should first repent of not keeping the commandments of God, not loving others, not making peace with others, and not being faithful.
And, when you truly love God and live by His word, God will surely heal you and give you answer.
Now, you should repent of trying to reap without sowing.
Galatians 6:7 says, "Whatever a man sows, this he will also reap."
If you desire to receive blessing from God, you should sow the seed of faith before God to that extent.
In other words, you should plant the seed of time, effort, and energy.
You should worship and pray in spirit and truth.
You should be faithful to the kingdom of God.
You should also plant materially.
The Lord says in Matthew 6:21, "For where your treasure is, there your heart will be also."
God does not accept just the deed itself, or just the amount of money given, or just because you worship, do volunteer works, or give offerings, but He receives the heart contained in the deed.
If you please God with the aroma of your heart, faith, and love, the fruit of answers and blessings will come quickly.
Those who love God diligently sow even when they don't have any problems.
That's because they are so thankful for being saved, and for the love and grace of God.
"What can I give of more, and how can I pay back for the grace given to me?" With this in mind, they fervently pray, they are faithful, and they give offerings to God.
Such people always receive blessing to the extent, or more than they have sown.
If you have a problem that requires a special answer, you should plant the seed of faith with all the more strength.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
If you truly repented, broke the barrier of sin, and prayed, then you should now have the faith that you have been healed.
Isaiah 53:5 says, "By His scourging we are healed."
It's not, "We will be healed,' but "We are healed."
Jesus neither had original sin nor self-committed sin.
But still, He was scourged and shed His precious blood in order to redeem us from our sin.
Since He paid for our sin with His precious blood, if you believe in this fact, you should no longer suffer from diseases.
Instead of saying, "I'm still sick, and it still hurts," you must believe and seek, you should confess you have been healed, and you should rejoice and give thanks.
Then, God will give you spiritual faith to receive the answer.
Here, you should remember one more thing; there is a difference in receiving answers among different men.
Some are healed on the spot where they receive prayer, but others seem to take more time to be healed.
They may be healed the next day, or a few days later, or it may take longer than that.
As their faith grows while living as Christians, they are healed gradually.
That's because God works for them differently according to each heart and situation.
For example, if someone can manage unchanging faith after being healed, even if his current faith is short a little, he can receive an answer right now.
On the other hand, some people get healed gradually as their faith grows, or they receive healing after their faith has grown up.
It's because the ultimate purpose of God's healing is the salvation of souls.
Even though someone clung to God and became healed, if he changes in his heart and then distances himself far from God, what is the use of his good health?
Even though the healing is slow, it is better for the soul's faith to grow up than to receive healing quickly and leave God.
Even after you are healed, if you commit sin again, you may get sick again.
After Jesus healed someone, He spoke to him as in John 5:14.
"Behold, you have become well; do not sin anymore, so that nothing worse happens to you."
In other words, He says that, even though you are healed by faith, you can get sick all the more if you sin again.
Once it happens, even if you come before God again, it is more difficult than before to get healed.
Therefore, the more important thing that determines receiving answers quickly or slowly is that you should live by the word of God without changing.
When you seek Him with this kind of a sincere heart, God will give you quicker answers, and more overflowing blessing.
Dear brothers and sisters in Christ.
If you truly believed in the depth of your heart, and repented, you will not commit the same sin again.
The Lord Jesus who was sinless was scourged and shed blood because of your sin.
He wore the crown of thorns, and He was crucified on the cross.
You realized this fact, and repented with rending of your heart. How can you commit sin again?
You should try all means to live by the word of God.
Even though you cannot live by the word of God completely from the beginning, if you continue praying diligently and try hard, God will give you the strength to live by His word.
When you make an effort like this, God will be pleased at this.
And, He will give you spiritual faith, and He will give you answers as you ask.
He not only heals you, but also makes everything prosperous as your spirit and soul prosper.
And then, when the life on this earth is over, He will lead you to the eternal glory of heaven.
Heaven and Hell surely exist. Hell is an extremely miserable place that cannot be compared with any diseases or disasters.
Indeed, Jesus said it is better not to go into Hell having your hands and feet cut off than to go into hell having hands and feet committing sin.
I hope you will remember that the salvation of soul is more important than healing and blessing, and I urge you to manage your Christian life well till the end.
May God the Healer who is the origin of answer and blessing, give answer to all the desires and prayers of your heart, in the name of the Lord, Jesus Christ, I pray!
