Hyojin Kim (Age 24)


I began to lose stamina and fitness in April 2018. I couldn't finish my job at work and it depressed me. My body was so swollen that people asked me why I gained so much weight. My neck was also swollen and one of my friends said it looked like I was wearing a rubber ring. I had medical tests and found out I had hypothyroidism.

The doctor was amazed how I went to work with such a low level of thyroid hormones. He said I had to control the hormone level with medicine, and if I didn't take the medicine, the level would go down immediately. Namely, I had to take medicine for the rest of my life.

I had a desire to be healed by God's power, but I took the medicines because otherwise I couldn't go to work. Still, the hormone level was low and I had to increase the dose and keep on taking it to keep the normal level. I always felt tired and lethargic. Fortunately, the Manmin Summer Retreat was coming up, and I really wanted to be healed by God.

From the day before the retreat, I had the conviction that I no longer had to take medicines, so I stopped taking them. On the first day of the retreat Pastor Soojin Lee prayed for the sick with a handkerchief on which the Senior Pastor Rev. Jaerock Lee had prayed (Acts 19:11-12). I received the prayer with a desperate heart, and to my amazement, I felt light and I wasn't so tired from the end of the retreat.

I wanted to be healed completely, so I attended the '2-term continuous special Daniel Prayer Meeting' that was held from Oct. 8. I'd burst into tears whenever I prayed with the handkerchief prayed on by the Senior Pastor.

I felt like God was touching and comforting my heart. I repented of ceasing to pray and not having complete faith in God. Every morning I received the prayers of the Senior Pastor for the sick and for the new day before I went to work.

I received the results of medical test on Dec. 10, and everything was normal. The doctor had told me I could never quit taking medicines, but by faith I hadn't been taking any medicine for the past 4 months. I was healed completely only by the power of God. Hallelujah!

I give all thanks and glory to God for having healed me with the blood of the Lord and guiding me to lead a blessed life.

Medical Test Results

Thyroid-stimulating Hormone is 30 times more than normal. Thyroid hormone level was lower than normal, but it recovered to normal level after prayers.
