Deaconess Ma Jean Lann, 71, Taichung Manmin Church

I attended church and volunteered for the church's work from childhood, but I did not try to have the God-pleasing heart. So, there was constant discord with my husband and I even suffered from depression.

But after I registered in Manmin in 2011, an amazing change and blessings came upon my family. As I received Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer for the sick in every worship service, I became free from the symptoms of depression, and I was able to make peace with my husband. My husband also received the prayer of the handkerchief (Acts 19:11-12), and his voice that had been quite hoarse became clear! He also registered as a member of Manmin.

After we experienced the amazing works of God, I have led my believing life in fullness and attended Daniel Prayer Meeting on GCN. In the meantime, I had a great experience once again in summer 2018.

There was unkept land around the school behind my house. It looked awful since it had not been taken care of for ten years. I decided to take care of the land. For three to four months, I gradually removed weeds, planted trees, and smoothed out the rugged parts. Before I started the work, I always asked God to protect me in prayer. One day, I found two wasps. The number increased, and later I found their hive.



I gave a notice to the school and the experts came and said the wasps are the Asian giant hornets that inject especially potent venom in Taiwan. It is said that people should keep 50 to 100m away from them not to be put in danger, but I had worked as close as 1 meter from them. However, I was not attacked.

I later heard that three of my neighbors had been there and got stung by the hornets. They suffered from severe pain and got an injection in hospital. My neighbors said thanks to me for finding the hornets' hive and some firefighters removed it. I felt so thankful to God again for protecting me in the Lord.

In October 2018, I visited Manmin Central Church to celebrate its 36th anniversary and had a great time in God-given peace and joy. I give all thanks and glory to God who blessed me to meet my precious shepherd at this end time, stay under the Lord's protection, and run towards heaven earnestly.
