"After I felt as if I applied a cooling patch, I was healed of frozen shoulder!"
Deacon Taeoh Kim, age 57, Parish 31, Manmin Central Church
In March 2018, I felt a cold and pain in my left shoulder. The pain kept me from sleeping well at night. I just endured it and thought it would improve with time. But the coldness and pain became serious. In early April, I went to hospital and had a CT scan. I was diagnosed with 'frozen shoulder'.
I got a shot and took medicine to alleviate the pain and had physical therapy for months. The symptoms seemed to improve for a time but the pain still lingered. I could not raise my left arm or move it backwards either.
Only then did I start to repent that I had not relied on God, and I made up my mind to receive healing by faith. I threw away all medicine and stopped receiving physical therapy. I just tried to find and repented of things I had not obeyed according to the Word. I wanted to receive healing by the power of God and with such longing I offered up prayer in Daniel Prayer Meeting and a meal fasting from July 9.
While looking for a way to please God, Manmin News crossed my mind and I started to distribute it to my neighbors to prepare myself to receive the answer in Manmin Summer Retreat 2018 with longing. I was asked to volunteer as an advance team to leave first for the retreat to prepare for the events including the athletic meet, so I obeyed and was so happy.
After the seminar on August 6, when Rev. Soojin Lee prayed for the sick with the handkerchief Senior Pastor had prayed on (Acts 19:11-12), I received it with faith.
At that moment, my shoulder felt cool as if I applied a cooling patch on it. I tried turning my left arm forward and backward. I had no pain at all! I give all thanks and glory to God who healed me of frozen shoulder and to the Lord who saved me with the love of the cross. I also extend my thankfulness to Senior Pastor who has prayed for me constantly.
