In Korea, the unemployment rate is skyrocketing and even highly-educated men fail to land a job. But here is a girl who has been hired by Kookmin Bank as its youngest employee. Her name is Ye-eun Kim. She is working for the Gwanghwamun branch. In October 2011 she joined as the bank's employee at the age of 17. She started the job at the youngest age of all those who have worked for Kookmin Bank.
"I was told that most workers consider our branch as the best place to work. My story was featured through newspapers like Joong-ang Ilbo. I give thanks to God."
When she was in high school, she earned a total of 14 professional certificates including the first class computerized accounting certificate. She even lost 30kg going from a weight of 80kg (176 pounds) to 50kg (110 pounds). She said that she was able to achieve all those things due to the grace and love of God.
"After three years into her marriage my mom conceived me through the prayer of Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee. With tears he asked students not to be stained with the worldly trends nor neglect the duties as students. I was moved by his love, which made me study hard and lead a diligent Christian life."
She now wants to become the youngest branch manager. We hope the grace of the Lord will be with her all the time.
