We Will Not Forget the Grace of God Given to Manmin

Celebrating the 29th anniversary of Manmin News, let's look back on the history of Manmin through some past articles.

After the New Jerusalem Campaign…"

No. 462 of Korean Edition, December 26, 2010

Manmin members held a campaign "Let's Go to New Jerusalem" which revolutionized their believing lives. During the campaign, they realized the deep love of God who has been cultivating mankind on the earth.

In December 2010, Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee showed great sacrifice with love in order to lead his church members to the city of New Jerusalem. With his love as a source of strength, they started this spiritual revival campaign voluntarily with the longing to recover the image of God.

They made a checklist about reading the Bible, reviewing the message, prayer, sound approach of online sources, and doing deeds of goodness. All the members including Men's and Women's Missions, and young people and students participated in this campaign. And, it was College Mission that began this campaign.

No. 718 of Korean Edition, December 27, 2015

"Senior Pastor shed so many tears and his heart was broken due to the repentance letters from many church members in 2010. We were moved and began paying back his sacrifice and love through our renewed lives. We made seven check items to cut ourselves off from the worldly things and fill ourselves with spiritual things. And our mission leaders such as small group leaders made up their minds to follow it and later even other members joined," said Pastor Lira Chung (Parish Pastor of Parish 1 and 2) who was President of College Mission at that time.

Dr. Jaerock Lee held a 'Mini Divine Healing Meeting' every Sunday for middle, high school students, and college students. He taught them how to manage their lives and talked about what he could not talk about on the altar with practical and detailed examples. He started his Sunday schedule from early dawn, delivered the message during both Sunday Morning and Evening Services, and did many things afterwards. But after all the tough schedules, he led the meeting with all his strength, which caused the church members to feel his love more greatly.

Since then, God has allowed for rapid flows of spirit and whole spirit to the church and constantly poured great grace upon them so that they could achieve a sincere heart in full assurance (Refer to Manmin News No. 718).

Now six years has passed, and many church members grew up quickly. There are many people who stood on the rock of faith and achieved the heart of spirit and whole spirit. They have played pivotal roles in the church.

Simultaneous Broadcasting of the Worship Services Brought the Launch of GCN

No. 121 of Korean Edition, December 1, 1996

On December 15, 1996, the worship service of Manmin Central Church began being broadcast simultaneously to all the branch churches of Korea through Mugunghwa satellite No. 1 in Korea.

Now anyone can join the service anywhere at the church's website www.manmin.org. But twenty years ago it was a great spiritual blessing given to branch church members that they could listen to Dr. Jaerock Lee's message from Manmin Central Church simultaneously.

"It was like a dream. I had bought his sermon cassette tapes and listened to them. After the video services, I came to listen to his message together with the members in Manmin Central Church. The simultaneous broadcasting of the worship service gave us a good chance to grow up spiritually," said Senior Deaconess Eunyi Yang, President of Women's Mission in Daejeon Manmin Church.

No. 722 of Korean Edition, January 24, 2016

The Broadcasting Committee was organized to enable simultaneous video worship services to be implemented in all branch churches. It was a preparation step to make organizations and facilities for upcoming telecommunication and multimedia eras. In 1996, the simultaneous broadcasting of worship services started, and in 2000 Manmin TV was founded (currently GCN).

Manmin TV broadcast Dr. Lee's overseas crusades that began in 2000 so that the church members in Korea could take part in the crusades through the live broadcasting. In 2004, a few Christian TV broadcasters and leaders visited the church and organized Global Christian Network. In October 2005, GCN finally started providing its service.

The church's worship services are attended by many people in the world through the internet service and the GCN's coverage over more than 170 countries.

From a long time ago, Dr. Lee prayed for and harbored effective methods to spread the holiness gospel through broadcasting media. The church started this vision through the simultaneous broadcasting of worship services and has continued the broadcasting ministry through GCN. This broadcasting ministry has been leading countless souls to the way of salvation and played a great role to fulfill the Great Command of the Lord.
