[Focus] Youth's Journal Written with Faith, Hope, and Love Six Missions' United Summer Retreat

On August 6 in 2012, Manmin's youth gathered at the Hyundai Sungwoo Resort in Hoengseong, Gangwon Province. The members of Youth, College, Canaan, Paul's, Mary's, and Light and Salt Missions felt deep love of God in the four-day retreat and came to have faith that they can achieve spiritual hearts. They also came to have greater hope for New Jerusalem, the best dwelling place in Heaven.

Seminars that made them realize that flesh profits nothing

On the first day and the third day, Pastors Soojin Lee and Heejin Lee preached messages entitled "Flesh and Spirit" from John 6:63 and "Spirit" from John 4:24 respectively. Through their messages the participants realized the flesh profits nothing and felt the heart of God who is spirit, goodness, and love. Thinking of God's limitless power, they made up their minds to achieve the heart of spirit all the more earnestly.

The 'Fullness of the Holy Spirit' prayer meeting allowed for them to be united

On the second day, through the message "Making a Beautiful Heart" taken from 2 Corinthians 2:14-16, Mrs. Boknim Lee, President of Manmin Prayer Center, urged them to accomplish the heart of spirit with longing, strong resolution, and constant efforts with patience. They engraved the love of the Lord on their hearts while praising, praying, and carrying a cross. They also had time to feel the happiness they will enjoy before the pearl gate of New Jerusalem while passing through a replica of the pearl gate. They gave the Spirit-filled praises with all their hearts and bodies.

Athletic Meet full of youth's passion towards the Lord and experiencing of wonders

They had the Athletic Meet as mission competition in the cool weather with the sun was covered by clouds. Their games were as follows: 100m race, Relay Race, Long-distant Race, Fill-the-tower Ball Toss, Spot-kick Shoot Out, and Cheering Competition. It was all very close. The College Mission won First Place and Paul's and Mary's Mission's United Team took Second Place. Brother Doosung Go and Sister Seulgi Kim of College Mission were the MVPs and the Cheering Prize went to Paul's and Mary's Missions. Brother Jimin Han and Deaconess Eunok Park who won First Place in the Long-distance Race received special prizes. They also had a great time feeling God's love as dragonflies came to sit on their bodies.

Camp Fire Worship & Praise, Love Letter of Praise to the Lord

"Let's practice the truth with joy and hope. Let's overcome the world and give our youth and hearts to the Lord. Lord, here we are!" Pastor Heejin Lee led the Camp Fire Worship & Praise. The members made heart-shapes with their arms, hands, and fingers for the Lord and their love and grace were greater while jumping and praising hand in hand with other members. They pictured the Seven-year Wedding Banquet and made their minds to become beautiful brides of the Lord. The fireworks added to the beauty of the night sky. Members felt the love of Father God who wants to share love with His children.

Athletic Meet: Winner in the Long-distant Race (Special Prize Winner)

"It is by God's grace that I was able to run well." Deaconess Eunok Park (1st Mary's Mission)

I practiced running after Daniel Prayer Meeting for a month. I wanted to become the source of strength for my Mission by winning. I met with difficult moments while running in the game but I thought of my goal to give glory to God. I overcame them and achieved my goal. Through this, I came to have confidence that I can achieve spiritual things. I give thanks to those who were with me and encouraged me during practice.
