"Upon its publication, Dr. Jaerock Lee's Spirit, Soul, and Body, Volume I, became an instant bestseller for the following seven months at Kyobo Book Centre, Korea's largest chain of bookstores. Having created an enormous sensation to the readers, this work delves into the origin of man as well as the depths of the spiritual realm. Consisting of the revelation the author received through countless days of prayer and fasting, messages in Spirit, Soul, and Body allow the readers to become aware of the self and elaborate on many difficult verses throughout the Bible. The work appeals not only to believers but also to any nonbelievers who seek to lead meaningful and successful lives."

On television and in films are scenes in which a person's spirit, looking identical to his body, exiting the body upon the person's death. Once the spirit has exited the body, we see the spirit stunned to find his self. However, once a believer has correctly understood the spirit, soul, and body – fundamental components of man – it should not be surprising. In Sun Tzu's The Art of War we find, "If you know your enemy and yourself, you can win every battle." The adage signifies that once you know yourself, you will not be in danger even if you were to fight a hundred battles. The messages in the "Spirit, Soul, and Body" series shed light on one's self and informs him of the fundamentals of man. Therefore, when a believer makes bread of the messages, an individual will be able to understand anyone and, as he learns of the realm of darkness that had influenced him and learns to rule over it, the believer will be able to lead a victorious life in Christ.
* Presenting significance and purpose of life
The premise of this work is on the Bible which teaches us that a man is composed of spirit, soul, and body. It allows readers to open the eyes with which they can see their self and offers them an insight into life by encouraging a spiritual understanding of spirit, soul, and body. Furthermore, the book points to a path on which an individual can be transformed into a spiritual being by discovering the self that he has created and accomplishing sanctification, as well as a shortcut to all people living in the modern age so that they will lead successful lives. Many people today ponder on the significance and purpose of life, asking themselves, "Who am I?" and "From whence has man come and to where does he go?" but they often close out their lives after having failed to attain fundamental answers. Furthermore, everyone wants to live a life abounding in joy. However, it is difficult to attain wealth, fame, and authority and even if one were to have attained them, it is difficult to find people who are truly happy. This work provides answers to such fundamental questions and informs the readers of a way in which they can lead joyous and successful lives.
* Informing readers of fundamental components of man
As man has been created in God's image, he is unable to live apart from God or find out clearly about the fundamental components of man. Only when he finds out who God is can he attain answers pertaining to man as well. Therefore, "Spirit, Soul, and Body" is a domain that can be grasped not by the wisdom or the might of man; only God, who can see through man's fundamentals, can reveal them to him. It is the same in which an individual who has put together a computer also possesses professional knowledge about its structure or principles, and therefore will not only use the computer as he pleases but also fix any problems. This work will provide the readers with the significance and the purpose of life and help them understand that their value has been changed. Furthermore, as the readers will be able to understand the difficult Bible verses in regard to the spiritual significance of spirit, soul, and flesh, things of the flesh, works of the flesh and flesh, they will be touched throughout their reading of the book. I'd like to recommend this work to all those who are suffering in this difficult economic climate in which people's ego are hitting the bottom and they are losing the will to live in the lonesome reality.
