Faithful Believers in the Church, Competent Workers in Society

The history of Christianity in Korea has already passed its one hundred year mark. And how many young believers are there in Korean churches? Young members of Manmin are burning with passion. We can see many young adults of Manmin earnestly praying and praising during various worship services and at the Daniel Prayer Meeting, which is held every night. The Tuesday praise service for the young are filled with the Holy Spirit. And they are acknowledged in society as well. The following are some of our young church members giving glory to God through the talents they received from the Lord.

Jiyoung Sun (Medical doctor)

✦ Jiyoung Sun, Head Psychiatrist at Gahwa Hospital (Female, Seoul)
She was healed of her weak body when she was a senior in Medical School of Chung-Ang University. And when she had to be on night shift duty 5 days a week, she was able to overcome that time with God's grace. After her internship and residency, through the power of prayer, she finally passed her medical exam. She wishes to become a doctor who can bring true hope to her patients by treating them like family—giving them comfort and laughter.

Sukchul Kim (Teacher)

✦ Sukchul Kim, teacher at Guronam Elementary School (36, Seoul)
He always keeps in mind the Lord's love while teaching his students. He tries to understand and treat each of his students according to their family environment and the way they grew up. He often takes examples from what he heard during the sermon and applies it to his class, like making his class speak in honorific form to each other, and love and respect one another. So, coarse words and fighting among his students disappeared from his class. He is happy when he sees his students change.

Daesung Kim (Badminton player)

✦ Daesung Kim, badminton player (26, Suwon of Kyeong-gi Province)
As a badminton player of Suwon city hall, he won the silver medal in the 90th National Sports Festival held last October. He is becoming an inspiration to his teammates through his faith and diligence. And before each game, he receives the Senior Pastor's prayer. He is eagerly training himself; dreaming of glorifying God as a national player.

Hoseung Lee (Baduk player)

✦ Hoseung Lee, amateur Baduk player (23, Seoul)
He won the third place in the 90th National Sports Festival held last October. He started playing Baduk since he was seven years old, and has a great winning record. He came to our church when he was in the third grade in elementary school. Leading an earnest Christian life, he received Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer before each Baduk match, and doesn't neglect the life of prayer in obedience to the Senior Pastor's encouragement, "You also need to pray."

Soonju Ryu (Insurance telemarketer)

✦ Senior Deaconess Soonju Ryu, Insurance telemarketer (Female, Seoul)
Since she entered Heungkuk Life Insurance Inc. in 2003, she never missed winning the first place in sales. Last year she was awarded the title "Sales Queen of The Year" out of 2000 telemarketers of all Heungkuk Life Insurance branches in Korea.
She relies on God in all circumstances with positive thoughts and a positive confession, and she experiences God's help while working. According to her own expression, she is just "picking up contracts", meaning she makes contracts very easily. She makes sure she receives Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer every month and experiences God's blessing, who guarantees his prayer. Ryu strives to lead a changed life every day.
