"We're Happy with the Lord's Love in Heart!" _ Church Leaders Practice Their Fervent Love for Souls
In preparation for the new year's ministry, Rev. Dr. Soojin Lee, Consolidated Parish Pastor led the meetings with the women's District, Sub-district, and Cell leaders in December 2017 and January 2018 to encourage their sense of duty and boost their enthusiasm for souls' salvation. Among the leaders, some were chosen as 'pick of the crop' leaders for the visitation campaign, and on Wednesdays and Thursdays they gathered and prayed at 11 A.M., and then visited and spread the gospel until 4 P.M.
As a result, the leaders bore the abundant fruit of souls' salvation, revival and they experienced the love of God. They also tasted joy and happiness coming from above when they saw souls' renewal. They continued to confess thanks to God who gave them the opportunities.
Senior Deaconess Youngsuk Lee, District Leader of Parish 32, said, "God gave much joy and happiness to us when we visited souls. I had suffered from menopausal symptoms. But the symptoms were gone while I spread the love of God to souls. Also, my family members began to attend church!"
Deaconess Kuinam Kim, Cell Leader of Parish 30, stated, "My heart shrunk because of my timid temperament, and my heart was also numbed to everything. My faith remained stagnant without growth. But when I repented and joined the visitation campaign for souls, I felt the Holy Spirit's consolation and recovered my first love for souls. My faith has become fervent again!"
Senior Deaconess Hyosook Lee, District Leader of Parish 19 said, "My district members have become united and filled with love for souls. A cell leader experienced financial blessing in her husband's business. I was also blessed to guide my sister to church. She is now happily attending church."
Male leaders also actively participated in the visitation campaign. They visited people after work, before or after Thursday Cell Service, and on Saturday. Deacon Deukseop Kim, Cell Leader of Parish 23, said, "I visited an old couple. They both felt troubled due to health conditions and many family problems. They came to church after our visitation and both have become bright. When I see them, I feel so happy. In fact, though I have a busy schedule I am so thankful for being able to do the work of the Lord through the visitation campaign and I have been filled with more grace and the Spirit."
From the year 2010, the church leaders themselves experienced great and special love of God, the Lord, and the shepherd who patiently waited for them. The love they felt enabled them to spread the gospel with the heart of greater service than before.
Senior Deaconess Suja Lee, District Leader of Parish 5 said, "Some people refused to open the door to us. But we prayed for them and continued to visit them with faith in their renewal. We've received such love from God, the Lord, and the shepherd. I feel so grateful to see those who unkindly behaved at first eventually become renewed and come to church."
Senior Deaconess Youngok Yun, District Leader of Parish 9, said, "Because I felt the heart of the shepherd who deems a soul more important than the whole world, I couldn't give up a single soul, though some had such hardened hearts. I became earnest to lead more souls to the way of salvation by achieving the Lord's heart. Now I am striving more to become sanctified."
God worked with those leaders who were devoted to visitation and evangelism. As a result, there were many people who newly registered or returned to church. Brother Jaehoon Jeong, Parish 22, had stopped attending church because he had moved to faraway place. He said, "I recently felt troubled for many reasons in workplace and with others. I was often consoled by listening to Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's sermons on the internet. Around the time I decided to go to church again, I actually received a phone call from the cell leader of the district where I had lived before!" He now feels grateful and has been happily leading his believing life again.
Deaconess Natalia Im, Vice Leader of Russian-speaking Cell of Overseas Parish, said, "I was given faith in the revival of my cell when I received Senior Pastor's prayer in December 2017. I visited people in Ansan where many Russian people live and spread the gospel with showing the pictures of powerful works that had been manifested in our church. God allowed me to meet many people who opened their mind and would register in my church though they live far away from the church. Five of them received the prayer of blessing in New Year's Service and got their opportunities for employment!"
Let's give all thanks and glory to God who gave grace and strength to spread the love of the Lord.
