"Faith, Hope, and Love Are Motivations in Our Lives!"_Manmin Members Glorifying God by Receiving Prizes in Their Fields

Deacon Kwangsik Mun, Gold Medals in the weightlifting match in the 6th Gyeonggi Province Sports Games for the Disabled 3. Deaconess Okrye Jang, the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Award and Korean Food Tourism Association President Award in the Korean Food Display Competition
Manmin members stand out in their fields and give out the fragrance of the Christ. It shows that if one believes Jesus Christ and truly loves God, he or she can glorify God with good fruits in their fields.
Deacon Hoki Song, age 51, is a chief teacher in English teachers' team of Hanyang Elementary School affiliated with Hanyang University. He received the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education Commendation on the previous 35th teachers' day in May 2016. He gained recognition by 'establishing appropriate education philosophy, practicing the duty of a teacher, and contributing to educational development in renovating education' (Photo 1).
Deacon Song stated, "If I had not learned this word of life, I would be going to death. But now I am full of joy and hope for Heaven. And I came to think of my students as my Lord's precious souls, so I could do no less than teach them with eagerness."
Deacon Kwangsik Mun, age 65, Parish 23, has first class visual impairment. But with hope for Heaven, he has overcome any difficulty caused by the disability. He tried his best wherever he was. In May, 2016, he won three gold medals in weightlifting matches in the 6th Gyeonggi Province Sports Games for the Disabled (Photo 2).
Deacon Mun said, "Both of my eyes have pigmentary degeneration of the retina so I can only see that something is moving. I was supposed to have gone completely blind but since I began attending church in 2003, they have not gotten worse. I felt thankful. In the Games, there were many young people. Among them, I won the gold medals at the age of 65. I was able to do it because of the Lord's grace."
Sister Eunhye Park, age 19, attending Masan Muhak Girls' High School, won first place in the 18th National Dance Competition 2016 held by CK committee. On May 8, she again received Golden Prize in the 92nd National Dance Festival hosted by Joongang Dance Research Center, the corporation of Ministry of Culture, Sports, and Tourism (Photo 3).
"My mother delivered me in the 8th month of her pregnancy. Moreover, I even had tuberculosis so I almost died but through Senior Pastor's prayer I came to life and became healthy. So, my parents named me "Eunhye" which means 'grace' in Korean. I started learning to dance a little late, but I prayed and relied on God. My dance skills improved quickly over a short period of time. Before the contest I received Senior Pastor's prayer recorded on the Automated Response System. And I received this good prize."
Brother Hyunkyu Kim, age 19, a junior at Balan Bioscience High School relied on God and received Senior Pastor Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer before the 54th National Fencing Championship. It was held on May 7, 2016, and he won first place in the saber fencing individual match (Photo 4).
In April 2016, on the 49th Science Day, Sister Haneul Jin, age 13, 6th grader in Jungjae Elementary School, received the Minister of Science, ICT, and Future Planning Prize. She also experienced the power of God (Photo 5).
"I suffered from severe atopic dermatitis when I was four. It was so serious that my parents tied my hands while I was sleeping to keep me from scratching affected parts unconsciously. But I was completely healed through Senior Pastor's prayer. I want to be an interpreter working for the kingdom of God. So I earnestly study English and Chinese."
Sister Jin was even elected President of her school.
Additionally, Deaconess Okrye Jang, age 47, Canaan Mission participated in the International Cooking Competition in 17th Korean Food Tourism Expo. On May 7, her team received the Minister of Culture, Sports, and Tourism Award and Korean Food Tourism Association President's Award in the Korean Food Display Competition (Photo 6).
What motivates Manmin members to try their best everywhere they belong to and thereby want to glorify God that earnestly?
It is their earnest desire to repay the grace of God who sent His only begotten Son Jesus for them. They are also thankful to Him for leading them to Manmin where His powerful works unfold and blessing them to have hope for the incredible beauty of Heaven and New Jerusalem.
