A rainbow refers to a seven-colored circular arc that appears opposite to the sun when water drops in the air are reflected and refracted after it rains (Genesis 9:13). However, extraordinary rainbows are often witnessed in the sunny weather by the members of Manmin Central Church.

On May 15, 1998, many people were in the churchyard after offering up worship service; there was a magnificent circular rainbow surrounding the sun over the church (Photo 1). It was a very special phenomenon because it was not rainy but very sunny, and the rainbow wasn't opposite to the sun but was around the sun.

Since then, marvelous and extraordinary rainbows have appeared frequently in the sky. Moreover, they followed the church members and showed up when they held God-pleasing events such as overseas crusades, pastors' seminars, handkerchief healing meetings, and Manmin Summer Retreat (Photos 4, 5, 7). The rainbows entail God's spiritual message recorded in the Bible.

Revelation 4:3 states, "And He who was sitting was like a jasper stone and a sardius in appearance; and there was a rainbow around the throne, like an emerald in appearance." When people make a promise, they may often share a proof of the promise; the proof is often a ring. God shows the rainbow around His throne as a proof of His covenant.

According to their shape, each has different meaning. A circular rainbow implies, "You and I, and all are one in the truth". Double, threefold, and fourfold circular rainbows evidence that there are different heavens; through them believers can understand the spiritual realm better and have more hope for Heaven.

The various shapes of symmetry of rainbows mean that all things are achieved in the one space of God, that is, they show God's promise that God will accomplish all things in His work. A rainbow like a ring with the sun as a jewel (Photo 3) is the sign that He would achieve His promise through Manmin by shedding the bright and true light on this darkened and complicated world that is too much with entangled issues of politics, economy, and social affairs.

After DR Congo United Crusade 2006, God showed an extraordinary rainbow (Photo 2), and thereby He let them know He was very pleased with the crusade. During the trips for other overseas crusades as well, God blessed them to see many rainbows.

Frequent appearances of rainbows are also witnessed over the Muan Sweet Water Site. It was at the site of the Muan Manmin Church that Dr. Jaerock Lee's prayer turned the seawater into sweet drinkable water (Exodus 15:25). By showing circular, ring-shaped, symmetric, and complex (multi-planar) rainbows (Photo 6), God showed His love and power.

Through these marvelous and extraordinary rainbows, believers have increased spiritual faith and worked faithfully with hope for New Jerusalem. Let's give all thanks and glory to God who has embroidered the sky with fair and beautiful rainbows for last 17 years.
